I’m Jeff, co-owner and Head Strength & Conditioning coach of Alamo 180. I’m also the creator of the Signature 6 Movement Method.
I started Alamo 180 in 2011 because I wanted a safe and effective place for people to exercise. Before starting Alamo 180, I was a personal trainer and boot camp instructor at a big box gym. I would routinely have 30+ people in my classes and could never offer the quality they deserved. My biggest concern and complaint was that there were too many people in a class. It’s why I couldn’t keep a watchful eye on everyone to ensure safety while exercising.
While I believe any type of exercise is better than nothing, I also knew there could be a better way.
My passion for fitness started in the late 80’s when I came across Bodies In Motion with Gilad Janklowitz. My brother and I would watch these shows on ESPN and then go outside and do the workouts. We honestly thought we were going to become like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
It’s been 3 decades and I still look nothing like him (though I can impersonate his voice and often do). I say this because if your fear is looking like a bodybuilder, it won’t happen. There is a type of training for that, and we don’t do that here. We focus on our Signature 6, which targets total body to strengthen your body, rev your metabolism and help you lose weight.
